We believe working with music is healing for the body mind and spirit and want to do whatever we can to give people who are often marginalised to get a chance to experience the power of music and engage with their creativity to play and perform and improve their confidence and self-esteem whilst giving them a way to express their feelings in a new mode.
Communities, especially men, often have a hard time coming together for constructive bonding experiences.
This has been noticeably apparent in recent years where 75% of people who died by suicide in Scotland were men.
Playing music together and relaxing with group mindfulness and sound sessions help people to gather back a sense of community. With out songwriting and group music lessons we help people work together and collaborate, talking about their stories during the process.
We hope to expand our classes and offerings across Glasgow and Dumbartonshire, offering more within community settings, in recovery circles, and through various charities that want to support people in vulnerable situations and marginalised groups, to have more access to creative, musical and mindful activities.
